Edward Notis-McConarty is Senior Vice President of Hemenway Trust Company. Ned helps clients plan and implement investment programs for individuals, families and nonprofit institutions.

Also a partner at Hemenway & Barnes LLP, Ned concentrates his practice in the areas of probate litigation, civil litigation, dispute resolution, and fiduciary work. Through his work on estate and probate matters, Ned handles matters relating to fiduciary administration and estate planning. He also represents a number of nonprofit and religious organizations, providing general counsel and litigation services.

He has written and lectured extensively on issues relating to probate litigation and the challenge to the courts presented by increasing numbers of unrepresented litigants.
