Gioia C. Perugini is a Senior Vice President at Hemenway Trust Company. She advises clients on a range of philanthropic services.

Working with individuals and families on the full spectrum of charitable giving, Gioia assists with the creation of charitable giving vehicles such as private foundations and donor advised funds (DAFs), as well as advising on issue areas of interest and the structuring of individual gifts.

Gioia and the philanthropic advisory group at our affiliate, Hemenway & Barnes, also provide comprehensive administrative, operating, and strategic support to private foundations. This includes assisting foundations with their grantmaking, beginning with planning through grant research, site visits, grant application review, grant recommendations, and preparation of gift agreements. Gioia’s grantmaking expertise covers a range of charitable interests, including education, health and welfare, arts and culture, and the environment. She has extensive experience advising donors and nonprofit organizations in Northern New England.

Gioia is also the Director of Philanthropic Services at Hemenway & Barnes LLP. She also serves as a trustee and board member for several nonprofit organizations.
